Well, I ended up being one of those who had a crib in the big recall Thursday. I couldn't believe it because we first got the crib for our son and had used it all the way through to his transition out of it. We then started using it again when my daughter was born. She has been in it since. After seeing the report yesterday I went online and discovered not only was it apart of this last April 29th recall but it was also part of a recall late last year for its drop side hardware. Imagine my horror knowing my baby girl was sleeping in a double deathtrap. Literally, as soon as she woke up that next morning I disassembled the entire crib, packed it in the truck(my husband looking at me the whole time like "WOW she's not playing"), and headed right up to Baby Depot (which is where I bought it). I was nervous because I didn't want there to be any problems or them to think I was trying to pull one over. I just wanted the death trap out of my house. I had never had anything that had been recalled and was unsure what I would face. Expecially with the crib I had. It was the Simplicity Christina Crib 'n Changer Combo 4 in 1. The Baby Depot staff were absolutely amazing! Although I no longer had the receipt or the box they were able to pull it up in their system and see exactly how much I paid for it. They refunded me the entire amount plus tax!! And then helped me unload the massive thing and all its pieces out of the truck. I did receive store credit since I did not have a receipt but I am very happy to return to Baby Depot and purchase something else. Thank you so much Baby Depot for taking care of one small customer!! You may have saved a life!
